Barefoot fun on Straddie

Every part of Queensland has their own colourful characters. And on North Stradbroke Island, that person would be Barefoot Dave. Dave owns and operates Straddie Kingfisher Tours which offers a big range of guided experiences including beach fishing, kayaking, sandboarding, four wheel driving and much more.

A great place to stay when on the island is with Straddie Camping. They operate 6 beachfront campgrounds on the island and at Amity Point, you can ‘glamp’ in their terrific Eco Shacks. They can sleep six people and come with cosy beds, a kitchen, living room, TVs, fridges, you name it. They start at a very reasonable $230 a night.

For RACQ members, Straddie Camping offers a 20% discount on all camping and cabins across their six campgrounds, with the exception of the eco shacks at Amity Point.
