The Gordon name is synonymous with camping in the Southern Downs, and indeed in Queensland. Now, they have added another string to their bow.
Visitors have always been able to bring their own horse to Gordon Country, but now Sue and the Gordon clan have started up trail ride weekends where city slickers can get their outback hit. The weekend includes guided trail rides on some of the Gordon Country horses, as well as fully catered accommodation.
There is whip cracking, camp oven cookout and of course billy tea.
