Li Cunxin, better known as ‘Mao’s Last Dancer’, has enjoyed a long and distinguished career as an internationally acclaimed ballet dancer.
He grew up in mainland China and studied ballet for seven years at Madam Mao’s Dance Academy in Beijing before defecting to the United States in the early 1980’s.
Li Cunxin now calls Brisbane home and is the artistic director of Queensland Ballet.
