The Sunny Coast is a cool place to unwind, relax and take things slowly.

But there’s another side that offers fast-paced fun and frivolity with friends! Be it breweries, bikes or beaches, it’s the ideal getaway for you and some mates in 2024.

Four-wheel driving is hugely popular around the region but there are some locations worth exploring where even these vehicles can’t go. That’s when you need to ditch the four wheels for two and rip it up on a dirt bike for a truly unique experience. Sunshine & Fraser Coasts Coastal Gateway Dirt Bike Tours want to get as many people out there as possible to experience the sunny coast’s bike trails and stunning national parks. Every bike comes with a GPS loaded various routes for self-guided tours.

Sometimes though, you want to leave the driving up to someone else, and Joel is more than happy to be your man. Joel’s Journeys offer a range of tours around Noosa and Sunshine Coast hinterland and beaches. Private tours are also possible with Joel catering the experience to your needs. The Rainbow beach tour includes visits to Great Sandy National Park, Seary’s Creek, Carlo Sand Blow, lunch with spectacular views at the Rainbow Beach Surf Club and many other locations for an incredible day out.

Should you and your buds be in the mood for some specially crafted brews then consider the Sunshine Coast your beverage buffet. Be it by the beach or huddled in the hinterland there is a range of local breweries and pubs.

Take in the relaxed vibes and feeling of being welcome out beyond the breakers of 10 Toes Brewery Buderim. They’re local legends who make great beer, be it no bull crisp lager or massively hooped double IPA or something sour, they have a brew for everyone and community always on their mind.

In Eumundi, you’ll find Matso’s, Sunshine Coast, who have breathed new life into a classic Queensland Pub. The place offers up tropical vibes in ambience and beers, brewing their famous ginger beer and mango beer on-site.

Mapleton Public House offers old school charm and a new-wave menu allowing patrons to connect with each other…and the earth.

They also have a great venue located in the Coolum industrial state, just 5 minutes from Coolum beach. The perfect spot to enjoy a cold one with a burger or tacos with mates.

“24 in 24” – Fall in Love… with the Sunshine Coast!
In the mood for a romantic getaway?

In 2024, there can only be one destination on your mind…and in your heart…  the Sunshine Coast.

With beautiful beaches and lush forests, it’s the perfect place for romance to bloom. It’s also full of experiences that will make you fall in love again and again.

At the base of Cooroy Mountain is Kurui Cabin. If you have a passion for panoramic views, plunge pools and peace, it’s a great place to stay with that special someone.

Or give your heart to Misty View Cottages in Montville, especially their new self-contained luxury cottage – Ponti. From the hearty breakfast hamper, fireplace and bathtub, there’s plenty for him to swoon about. The features that really have his attention though are the shower with spectacular forest views and private outdoor heated spa.

The region has plenty of food and beverage options to tantalise all tastes.

Beth from Woombye Cheese knows the appeal of a great quality local cheese. It’s all about sharing the love with a hand-crafted range that features their award-winning, Washed Rind, a cheese that was given the title of Australia’s best in 2023.

It could most certainly be paired with the perfect drop from Spill Wine, a boutique wine bar located not too far away in Maleny. The crew at Spill are really into their wine, so much so that they have created a 300-bottle wall as a love letter. The wines are the wall come in a range of varieties, all from small and limited-edition producers. The only real qualifier to make the wall? The wine must taste, in their expert words, “bloody delicious.”

Dacelo Distilling may have only started creating gin in October last year, but they’re already feeling affection with four of their creations taking out a bronze award at the 2023 Australian Gin Awards! What better way to make someone feel special then with a “boutique” of gin flavours. This distillery uses unique Australian botanicals to create a contemporary tasting experience.

OK – count ‘em!  All up, we’ve given you 24 (two dozen, folks!) reasons in 2024 to get yourself to the Sunshine Coast.

And if you need any more convincing, there’s plenty of inspiration at Visit Sunshine Coast.
