Bee One Third is a beekeeping project that helps bring bees back into urban areas. Humanity relies on bees for one-third of its food supply, hence the name.
The business was created by Jack Stone who is passionate about the environment and creating positive change in local communities. He has well over a hundred beehives on rooftops and other urban areas across southeast Queensland and parts of NSW.
Each hive has its own distinct flavour meaning honey from different suburbs boasts its own unique taste. Jack’s honey can be purchased at various retailers and a full list is on his website.
